Update: This was solved by installing updates to Windows 7. Any other ideas? The strange thing is that everything was working well before reinstalling Windows with the exception of the intermittent disconnects. I had to install a couple of Windows hotfixes that the Oculus isntaller was requesting, maybe there are still some windows updates I need? The last thing I can thing of to try is an HDMI to DVI adapter to run the headset off the DVI port. I've tried all the fixes I had tried with the previous installation: power saving off, latest Fresco drivers for the Inateck, latest Nvidia drivers for the GTX 1070, tried different USB ports including USB 2.0 ports. The headset will show up as connected in the Oculus app and I can hear audio through the CV1 headphones, but no video. Now with the new installation, the CV1 displays won't come on. Before having them go to the trouble of sending me a new headset, I decided to reformat my hard drive and reinstall Windows 7 just out of curiosity to see if it would affect the disconnects. After battling with headset (HDMI) disconnect problems and trying a new headset cable Oculus sent me, Oculus has offered to replace my headset.
